Choose the weight based on your Occupational Therapist’s recommendation. If you do not have an Occupational Therapist, most recommend a blanket weight 10% of the person’s body weight plus 1 pound (ex. 50 pound child would use a 6 pound blanket). However, this is a guideline, not a rule.
